Remember,
remember the fifth of November. Gunpowder,
treason and plot.
Bonfire
night is a tradition that many of us take part in. November 5th is
the day designated by King James I labelled “the
joyful day of deliverance.” Bonfires are lit around the world to celebrate the
capture of Guy Fawkes and the survival of the King.
The Gunpowder
Plot took place in 1605, led by Robert Catesby and his men. They placed 36
barrels of gunpowder in the cellars underneath the Houses of Parliament, ready
to set off an explosion, planning to kill King James I and the House of Lords.
With over 10
acres of gardens, a sculpture park and a turret topped house filled with art
pieces by Damien Hirst, we found ourselves in the perfect location. There were
so many nooks and crannies that our slippers could fit in, a maze of bedrooms
to shoot our nightwear and an abundance of gardens that accompanied our faux fur coat collection.
We hope you
all have a safe but fun night tonight and don't forget to wrap up warm with our faux fur or knit accessories.
Love Ruby+Ed
