HOLIDAY ZONE

Returning from her hols in Portugal; visiting Lisbon and Villamoura in the Algarve, we asked our Brand Director Nazia for her top holiday tips!

·         Capriccio was perfect for excellent fresh Italian food and deserts - delicious crepes and ice cream (essential for me as I travel with two children).  

·         Dom Pedros Buzios beach club was perfect for lunch for fresh seafood and easy jacket potatoes for kids.

·         Lots of lovely Chinese restaurants – I’d recommend Tai Tai for good food at great prices and a relaxed informal setting.

·         Travelling with kids is tricky so I always plan well ahead for easy outfits. Pack a medium sized sarong that can double as a scarf - our wandering elephant scarf was my companion from the oceanarium to the pool.

·         A tote bag is another holiday essential. I found our leopard shimmer tote perfect for carrying the kid’s cameras, sketchbooks, lollypops and other snacks for exploring. It’s also perfect for the beach!

·         Hire a car – we loved driving around the Algarve’s beautiful coast to discover uninterrupted treasures like Albandeira beach. Pure heaven!

HOLIDAY SEASON

Sun kissed and back with a tan, Holly our PR and Marketing girl has just returned from Dalyan in Turkey. We asked her to share her holiday highlights and tips:

• Enjoy the sunshine and head to Iztuzu beach, 3 miles long with gorgeous clear sandy waters. Make sure you take the water taxi from the riverside for a beautiful boat trip!

• Don’t forget your flip flops! Ruby + Ed Golden Shimmer Sandals were great for walking along the hot sand.

• Enjoy the Turkish food, Houmous and Halloumi to die for! And also great ice cream...be warned, the cheeky vendors are likely to put on a bit of a show for you… don’t be surprised if you walk away with ice cream on your nose!
• Head into town for some shopping of course! Turkish towels and handmade soap were among the goodies brought home. Don’t forget to barter, the locals are friendly and fun and you should expect to pay about 3/4s of the original asking price.
