As the days slowly become shorter, darker and colder (brr) the Ruby+Ed team have swapped their stilettos for slippers. This week we’re all looking forward to staying cosy at home on the weekend.

Snuggling up on the sofa with a hot chocolate and hot water bottle (can’t wait!) is all we want to do when it’s so miserable outside. It also helps save up for all those Christmas gifts.

We will look ahead to a weekend of lounging in our slippers (in my case- the thistle velvet bow ballerinas!) to watch the X factor. There are a few clear favourites in the office from this year’s candidates. Saj our marketing coordinator and myself are routing for Lauren, her cover of happy was amazing! Whilst, Laura our project manager is backing Jake! I can tell this is going to get competitive...

The Apprentice on Tuesday- very excited that it’s back! What do you think of the new candidates? We all liked team Tenacity’s idea of a jacket that charges your phone- not sure about the solar panel shoulder pads though!

And of course, our favourite, ‘Made in Chelsea’ is back!! Did you see the lovely Billie (from MIC: NY) wearing our gorgeous Husky fur jacket recently?!

Hollie, our UK Trade Manager was one of the first to grab our biker jacket. COLDER DAYS

The days are becoming shorter and the chilly mornings are upon us so this can only mean one thing… winter is coming. But worry not, we have exactly what you want and need to get you through!

Let me introduce you to our wardrobe saviours.

BIG is beautiful this winter. Oversized coats have been reminding us how much we love the androgynous style and we are all shouting out about the tom boy look this season.  Previously seen on Sienna Miller, our Faux Fur coats come in styles including long coats, jackets and hooded coats. Textured coats were seen all over the AW13 Catwalks with Prada and Givenchy stealing the shows with their oversized furs. A GLIMPSE INTO AW13

We are very excited to give you a sneak peek into our brand new AW13 Collection.

This year we are launching our fabulous faux fur gilets for the first time ever!

A faux fur gilet will be a classic staple for your winter wardrobe this year. If you are looking for a fashion investment then the faux fur gilet is the one for you. A perfectly transitional product that will take you from Autumn to Winter and back around to next Spring. The beauty of Ruby+Ed gilets is that the sleeveless style means there are a variety of ways to wear it. Go large with a bigger size and play around with silhouettes.

We have three key gilets for you this year, inspired by the catwalks of Malene Birger and Belfstaff. A simple, one colour gilet offers an incredibly chic and sophisticated look, as loved by fashionista Olivia Palermo. Get the look with our Jet fur gilet from September 2013.
