We have created a beautiful outfit that shouts elegance in the summer sun.  To create this look we started with our Cloud Tee, a summer staple, and added the fluttering wings powder skirt for a touch of colour. The cloud tee features a cotton silk body and a chiffon patch pocket to the front, as well as an exposed zip to the back for a slim fit. It looks great with our Fluttering Wings Powder skirt which has gathered pleats and an A-line shape allowing additional movement. We picked a sensible summer shoe for this look, so your feet are comfortable no matter what you get up to!

LOOK TWO:   The chilled evening 

For the ultimate summer occasion we have styled together a fun, formal outfit. We have taken our Ilya Crushed Iris dress and matched it with our Pewter Blazer. The crushed iris print is colourful and uplifting which is perfect for any summer event. Dress it up with our parchment scarf for those chillier nights.

LOOK THREE:  Quiet Nights

For a warm summer night, relax in our Palla Tunic Night dress. With front twill tie detail and raw edging to the hems, our palla tunic has a soft, feminine look. Team it up with our beautiful hand printed Almond Blossom Robe with loose sleeves and contrast cuffs. Create an elegant bow with the large ribbon tie and don’t forget the two hidden pockets for bed time. To complete the look we have added our statement Linen Posy Mule for an additional boost of vibrant colours.

IT IS TIME FOR FESTIVAL FASHION

There is less than a week to go until Glastonbury so it is time to reinvent our festival wardrobe. The weather is still fooling us this June and it is proving to be a little tricky when planning our frocks for the week. We know that it can be tough when styling for such unpredictable weather but somebody has to do it, so we have trawled through the entire Ruby + Ed collection to cater for your every festival need.

First on the list is the Dove Suede Boot, everybody needs to have a great pair of boots to stomp around in, whether you team it up with some shorts or with a floral midi skirt it will be the ultimate item to keep your toes warm.

It is also very important not to burden yourself with too many layers, the last thing you will want to do is leave the pumping crowd and retreat back to camp to drop off a heavy coat. Avoid this and cover up with our Indra Olive Parka, most people agree that the Parka is essential for festivals and we have added a feminine touch to make sure you still feel and look great. The parka has a great water resistant satin finish and a contrasting chalk pink lining. Although the weather is looking good for Glastonbury, an integrated hood and high neckline may save the day if it decides to rain!

We are hoping that the festival stays dry for you, so we have even added a chic bohemian number into the mix. The Aruna Dusty Rose Dress will make an appearance this festival season, a sweeping necktie and frilled cuffs will add a little boho twist to your backpack.

The last key statement item on our festival list is the Ria Emerald Blouse, slightly oversized and inspired by a vintage sari print, it will add a light touch of colour to any look. A light and floaty top will keep your spirits high during some cloudy episodes.

HOW THE RUBY+ED TEAM WEAR SS13: ARUNA CRIMSON BLOUSE

Lorna, our graphic design assistant is seen in our beautiful office gardens wearing the Aruna Crimson Blouse, a 100% silk top that breathes in the summer heat.

Lorna agrees, "I love the Aruna Crimson Blouse because long sleeves make it perfect for the office and the light-weight silk means I don’t get too hot wearing it on warmer days. It’s an easy way to 'pretty-up' a pair of jeans and the colour and pattern are so summery!"

One can never be sure whether it will rain or shine this season so Lauren, our Customer Services Coordinator, has chosen to wear the SS13 Indra Raincoat in Pigeon. In case the sun does decide to shine she wears the silk Ria Petals top underneath.

For a basic day look, Megan, our Logistics Manager, has chosen the Cloud Tee, worn with jeans and the Botanical Bow Ballerinas, seen in the Ruby+Ed gardens at Burrough Court.
