SIENNA MILLER SPOTTED IN OUR MINK FAUX FUR HOODED COAT

It was a lovely surprise for us to see Sienna Miller photographed again in Ruby+Ed over the weekend. She was spotted hailing a cab in NYC looking uber stylish in our bestselling Mink Hooded Faux Fur Coat styled with Isabel Marant cowboy boots, a designer we also adore. The coat is seen at its best with the hood pulled up, making sure she keeps warm in the winter streets of The Big Apple….we would love to know what would you wear yours with? Perhaps it could be a glamorous coat option to wrap up in over an evening dress this festive party season!

Stores in the spotlight - Attic

Our first store in the spotlight this AW season is Attic, located in Reigate, Surrey. This lovely footwear boutique won the Drapers Footwear & Accessories Award earlier this year and Ruby+Ed are proud to be amongst their selection of brands. The shop was opened 4 years ago by friends Vivien and Gabriella who aim to offer the perfect footwear for every time of year. They believe it is the footwear and accessories that make an outfit and we hope that by offering a selection of Ruby+Ed’s AW12 collection currently in their store customers will find the Autumn season easier to dress for!

Trend alert: Opulent Velvet

Ruby+Ed as seen in: GRAZIA, October 2012

We are thrilled to see that three pieces from our AW12 collection have been used in a beautiful GRAZIA feature this month.

Below are pictures from the feature. The model wears our faux fur hooded coat in Jet, and two of our faux fur snoods in Siberian Stone and Bear. Peculiarly the snoods have been used as hats in the feature. Is this a new trend on the horizon, what do you think?

'Awakening' - Autumn Winter 2012 video

We are pleased to present to you ‘Awakening’ the new video for AW12, shot in Ayrshire, Scotland. 

Film synopsis:

Set in a forgotten world, we follow a young woman, lost in the wilderness of a snow storm. Roaming across a great industrial site filled with vast caverns of concrete, exposed brick and abandoned railways, searching for freedom.

Pursuing truth, we watch a slow dance with magical snowfall, whilst the landscape is ravaged by unruly wind and sleet.   

Small yet determined, curious but powerful, playful and altogether otherworldly.

Raw beauty that is both wild and romantic.  

She wears a Jet hooded fur coat draped over a soft sensual layered cloud skirt, her delicate hands covered with praline knit armwarmers, her feet bound by carbon suede ankle boots. Colours are dark and muted.
